Here's the Shake recipe you've been waiting for!
Simple and delicious. You will need a blender for this one.
  • Start with one cup clear, cold (bottled) water
  • Add two scoops of IsaLean French Vanilla
  • Add 1/2 frozen banana (as thickener)
  • Add 1 teaspoon cinnamon (more or less to taste) I like cinnamon and it's good for you so I use a full teaspoon.
  • Add 1/4 teaspoon (or 3-4 good shakes) ginger
  • Add a dash of vanilla and 2-3 ice cubes...
and blend until smooth and creamy. Too thin? Add another ice cube or two. Too Thick? Add some more water and blend again. Pour the mix into some nice glassware and dust the top(s) with nutmeg or pumpkin pie spice. If you're really cool, garnish with a cinnamon stick and add your glass straw. And if you can spare the added calories...serve with a ginger snap or two!

My New Favorite Isagenix Shake Day Meal

My New Favorite Isagenix Shake Day Meal is quick, easy, relatively inexpensive and after two cleanse days - delicious!

To recap, during your Isagenix 9 Day Deep Cleansing and Fat Burning Program you’ll have two Deep Cleanse Days followed by five Shake Days then two more Cleanse Days.

During the five Shake days, you’ll enjoy two IsaLean Shakes and one 400-600 calorie meal for lunch or dinner. My new favorite Shake Day meal includes a combination of all the pictured ingredients into a delicious Southwest style salad with spicy chicken breast and three to six seriously tasty crackers. Total calories 320-515, depending on the number of crackers, the amount of dressing and if you use one or two slices of cheese on your salad. See below.

Fill a medium sized bowl with salad (yes, I’m lazy and use the prepackaged) - 15 calories.
Add (crumble) 1 slice cheese - 80 calories or if you really like cheese, add two - 160 calories.
Add 1 serving of the lowest fat, lowest calorie, lowest sodium dressing of choice - 45 to 90 calories.
Add one-half of that package of chicken breast strips (I really like the Southwestern seasoned) for 110 calories.

Optional and not pictured, but if you really like spicy, add a heaping tablespoon of Salsa or Picante sauce right in the middle - it only adds about 15 - 25 calories.
Now, three or six of those really tasty Milton’s Craft Bakers Multi-grain Crackers - 70 to 140 calories.

Total calories: 320 if you only use 1 cheese, 1 serving dressing and 3 crackers. 515 if you use 2 slices of cheese, double the dressing and six crackers. Add another 25 for the optional salsa.

Here’s a tip that helps me, as you add each ingredient, seal THAT package and put it back in the fridge...add the next ingredient, then seal THAT package and put it back in the fridge, etc. That way you will not be adding additional servings and calories. When I get to the crackers, I pull out my six (no way I can only eat three) and then I literally TAPE the box closed. Yes, they are that good.

If you’re SuperMom or Superdad or the Suzie Homemaker type, you can clean and shred your own salad greens, buy the more expensive shredded cheese, broil your own chicken breast and even make your own salad dressing...but none of that is going to happen here. LOL.

Try this quick and easy, low calorie salad on one of you Shake Days, I think you’ll enjoy it. - Coach Kevin

Isagenix 9 Day Cleanse Update: Days 3 and 4

Hello! Coach Kevin here with an update on my Isagenix 9 Day Cleanse. If you've been following my Isagenix journey, you'll recall that Days 1 and 2 were Deep Cleanse Days and went as planned. Days 3 - 7 are referred to as Shake Days during which you consume 2 IsaLean Shakes and 1 healthy, balanced 400-600 calorie meal at lunch or dinner (your choice). You'll also need your purified water and Natural Accelerator Capsules.

I am finishing up Day 4 (my second of 5 Shake Days) and the program is going well. I am something of a shake/smoothie connoisseur, so the IsaLean Shake protein in water just doesn't do it for me. I have been adding a few no and low calorie fruits and spices to my blender shakes. I've used frozen strawberries in one, 1/2 frozen banana in another, and cinnamon and ginger in a third. Tonight I will try a few frozen peach slices. The cinnamon and ginger in the French Vanilla tastes very much like a snicker doodle. If I had some nutmeg and pumpkin pie spice, I would use those as well.

Another trick - I picked up a popsicle mold at the dollar store and I spoon the shake mix into one or two of the molds and stick them in the freezer. Pull one out every hour or two and snack on them. You'll have to run the mold under the faucet to get them to pop out. I look forward to making IsaLean fudgesicles and creamsicles soon.

As I finish up Day 4, I am very impressed with the Isagenix 9 Day Cleanse. At the end of Day 3 I updated my weight and measurements. After 72 hours on the program, I have lost 6.1 pounds, 1 inch from my waist, 1 inch from my chest and 0.6% body fat!

Thanks for your time! I'll keep you updated on my progress and experiences.
Coach Kevin

Welcome to Day Zero of My 9 Day Cleanse...

As previously posted, I received my first Isagenix 9 Day Deep Cleansing and Fat Burning System yesterday (Thursday). I have reviewed the products and instructions and I see that tomorrow (Saturday) would be my best/first Full Cleanse Day as outlined in the included planner. The suggested plan calls for two Cleanse Days followed by five Shake Days and then two final Cleanse Days for a total of nine days.

That makes today a Pre-Cleanse Day for me. Kind of like a prep day, Isagenix suggests two Pre-Cleanse Days prior to the Full Cleanse Days, but Saturday and Sunday work best for me and I'm pretty fired up and anxious to start. Additionally, the weekend would be best for me to stay constantly busy if I get crazy hungry AND it would be best for me to stay away from innocent bystanders while GIVING UP MY COFFEE! Water ONLY, lots and lots of bottled (purified is suggested) water. Caffeine (coffee and tea) will be missed most during my 9 day journey...

So, first thing in the morning, I will hop out of bed and get my starting weight and a few measurements (with the tape measure thoughtfully provided with my Isagenix Welcome Kit). After I prominently display those on my 'fridge, I will start Day 1 with 4 ounces of Cleanse For Life. See you then! - Coach Kevin

Several of my friends in the Health and Fitness field have asked me to try Isagenix products and to take a look at the back-office (business end) as well.

Yesterday, June 01, 2015, I made the Big Jump and purchased my Annual Associate Membership and first products. The process was painless and completed entirely online.

I had a much more difficult time deciding which products to try first, as I am on a limited (read TIGHT) budget just like everyone else. I chose to start with the 9-Day Deep Cleansing System. The complete cleansing kit should arrive before the weekend by UPS. I'll update this IsaBlog when the products arrive and maybe even do one of those unboxing videos for you. Later - Coach Kevin
